World Traveler
The cars and stars of the NVIDIA Cup headed to the Land of the Rising Sun and Okayama International Circuit for Round Two of 2011 Season 2b this past week. Nearly 2000 sim racers from all over the world took to the track in hopes of driving their Mazda MX-5s to victory for the week. When the motors were silenced on June 13th, the coveted top spot went to a man whose points total was only eclipsed by his frequent flyer miles – namely Australia/NZ Club’s Madison Down, who not only collected the lion’s share of NVIDIA Cup points at Okayama but scored a big win on the other side of the globe in V8 Supercar competition at Spa-Francorchamps (see below).
