Newsham eyes good points with STR
British Touring Car racer Dave Newsham believes he can fight strongly for points after his first test in the Special Tuning Racing SEAT Leon today. The reigning Renault Clio Cup champion stepped up to the BTCC this season with Geoff Steel Racing, driving a rear-wheel-drive normally aspirated BMW. But the 44-year-old left the squad prior to the last round at Thruxton to join STR.
